The Moments In Between
These black-and-white photographs were made during a road trip across Morocco, but they are not the typical travel images of bustling souks or postcard-perfect landmarks. Instead, they focus on the quiet, in-between moments, the stretches of road where the landscape softens, the hours when light begins to fade, and the faces glimpsed fleetingly in towns barely marked on maps. Stripped of color, the images distill mood, texture, and atmosphere, reflecting a country in motion and at rest.
This series is less about destination and more about the rhythm of travel itself. The photographs dwell in the subtle spaces where narrative builds slowly: a roadside café at dusk, laundry dancing in a desert wind, a child’s improvised football pitch between ancient buildings. They invite a different pace of looking, one that values observation over spectacle.
