Join Leica Akademie London for a special evening with two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer and visual journalist Michael Robinson Chávez, celebrating the launch of his acclaimed new book, Mestizo.

Over the course of a remarkable career spanning more than three decades and over 75 countries, Robinson Chávez has documented some of the defining stories of our time—from conflict and migration to climate change and social transformation. His work has taken him from the frontlines of Ukraine and the Middle East to the disappearing landscapes of Siberia, the drought-stricken communities of California, and the economic collapse of Venezuela.

At the heart of this evening is Mestizo, a deeply personal body of work created over thirty years in Peru, his mother's homeland. Through powerful photographs and personal reflections, Robinson Chávez will explore how these images shaped not only his photographic vision but also his understanding of identity, belonging, and storytelling.

Illustrated with photographs spanning his career, this presentation offers a rare opportunity to hear from one of contemporary photojournalism's most respected voices as he reflects on the stories, people, and experiences that have defined his life's work.

The evening will include a presentation by Robinson Chávez, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing. Copies of Mestizo will be available for purchase.
